MiniRovers (6-11 yrs)
Albion Rovers FC welcomes you to our junior Football Victoria (FV) MiniRovers program.
The MiniRovers program is designed for kids of all abilities aged 6 - 11 years and uses short, game-based sessions to introduce the sport of football to newcomers in an inclusive way. It focuses on learning new skills, being active, making life-long friends and, potentially, unearthing the next generation of Socceroos or Matildas.
MiniRovers players can move freely between age groups (Under 7 to Under 11), playing above or below their age group as determined by their current stage of development. The FFV encourages coaches to initially place players in teams according to their age, however it is preferable that participants play down one, or no more than two, age groups. MiniRovers girls may play in boys' leagues however boys may not play in girls' leagues. MiniRovers players can also move freely between the following league categories as determined by their current stage of development:
Kangaroos (Strong Skills)
Wallabies (Develop Skills)
Joeys (Learn Skills)
