Albion Rovers FC is actively promoting and seeking female players to increase our female participation. The club has developed a 5 year Strategic and Operational plan that includes a significant focus on female football including coaches, players, volunteers, as well as facility upgrades to provide female only changing rooms. For this reason, we welcome all players of any ability, age or background to join our club and become a part of this exciting period for female football.

‘Let there be more Women/Girls Playing the Beautiful game’ PROJECT

Playing any sport requires funds to provide the facilities, the equipment and the coaching staff to teach and mentor the players. We as a club are not exempt from this reality. By raising the funds we will subsidise all of the above costs to give female players every opportunity of partaking in physical and mental exercise that community football offers.

For this reason, the club has started the ‘Let there be more woman/girls playing the beautiful game’ project through the Australian Sports Foundation. The project has been setup to raise much needed funds to support and promote female football. We will actively promote the project to ask members, volunteers and the community to kindly donate and help us raise our target of $8000 dollars.
